Today I’m excited to share with you a simple Wicked Halloween Vignette featuring the viral Cracker Barrel Stained Glass Witch Hat Lamp. Although the lamp is what inspired this vignette I’ve got to give props to the witch wall decor as well.

I’ll readily admit I’m not a big fan of Halloween and really never decorate for it. However this year I discovered the viral Cracker Barrel Stained Glass Witch Hat Lamp and I couldn’t resist. I don’t mind subtle touches of Halloween decor and this lamp fit that perfectly.
The best way to create a Halloween vignette is to keep it simple. If possible start by shopping your home first. Then pick up decorative accents to add to what you already have on hand.

Simple Wicked Halloween Vignette
We have this little corner in our kitchen under the window and next to the corner wall oven. This space became the perfect place to tuck in a little simple Halloween vignette. I guess it also helped that we have black subway style tile on the wall because it went perfectly!

One of the easiest ways to stay organized once the autumn seasons arrives is with our tracker.
Choose A Focal Feature
To get started creating a Halloween vignette choose a focal feature before anything else. This helps to anchor your home decor design.
The stained glass witch hat lamp was the focal feature of this vignette so it was only natural to stick with a witch theme. But creating this unified Halloween vignette took a few more subtle tips that I’ll share with you below.

What I really loved about this stained glass lamp was that it was purple and you could see that color even if the light wasn’t on.

Choose A Halloween Theme
Next you want to choose a Halloween theme. There are so many ways in which you can pick a Halloween theme. It can be done by using Halloween colors, symbols and more.
In my Halloween vignette my theme was centered around the stained glass witch hat lamp. So that became my theme, witch hat, witches in black and/or orange colors.

The stained glass lamp is purple and I really didn’t find any inspiring purple Halloween decorations. So I went to the next best method which was to choose a complementary color, in this case it was orange. This color combo was also the driver when I created my Halloween Sweets Coffee Table Tray Idea.
This year I found a Rae Dunn “The Witch Is In” coffee mug which has a black cat on the back and a Rae Dunn Nightmare Before Christmas “beware” black cauldron jar. Both fit perfectly with the color and symbol theme of this Halloween Vignette.
Add Decorative Accents
The only space that confounded me was the little spot behind the lamp. I felt it needed something so I placed a few smaller pumpkins in that spot.

But now I’m thinking there are other options I didn’t think of initially.
- A small stack of Halloween books.
- A small Halloween floral arrangement.
- A small Halloween picture frame.
- A small Halloween toad.
What do you think would look great behind the lamp? Drop me a comment I’d love to hear your ideas!
What I searched all over for and didn’t find was a small black wicker witch broom. I wanted to lean it against the witch wall art. I’ll continue to search though because it would make a great addition to this vignette.
